"Abode of Peace"

The Brunei pavilion is a true and analogue 360° immersive experience in which sights, sound and smell of Brunei all together take the visitor to a momentary journey into the heart of the country. Through fascinating nature, passing many exhibits and images of mangrove forests and native animals, the visitor gets an overview of Brunei‘s past, present and future. 

The so-called Nyirus, which are used for the rice harvest, act as information carriers in the pavilion and form the overall gestalt of the experience. 

Rozaimee Abdullah, deputy Commissioner from the Ministry of Foreign and Trade Affairs Brunei Darussalam comments: 

“The design captured the essence of Brunei Darussalam, expressing the genuine respect and relationship between the Sultan and its people. This message was never fully delivered before in previous designs.”
